For the lads training in the early cold winter mornings - it may seem lonely at times but keep the belief and know what it means to carry the torch for our county . Were proud to have yous on that stage!

I'm sure that by this stage you will be all 'turkyed and stuffed' out but there's one more treat before the end of the year. Put the feet up, sit back, relax, reach for the Roses' tin and watch a re-run of this year's All Ireland Club semi-final between Na Seamróga Loch gCaol and St. Thomas' of Galway from Parnell Park, Baile Átha Cliath. It's on TG4 on Tuesday the 31st December at 7.15pm. Excellent game with drama and excitement which highlights all that you could wish for in a game of hurling...and more!! I saw this highlighted in the Gaelic Life magazine and although I was at the game (and from another county), I just wanted to let people know it's on TG4 and will make good viewing.
Thanks

A belated 'comhghairdeas' to Lucia Mc Naughton for winning the Ulster Minor Championship Player of the Year. A fantastic achievement for herself, family and Na Seamróga!!
Thanks for your kind words and of course very deserved congratulations to Lucia. You might want to post on the camogie website http://www.loughgielshamrockscamogie.com/

Is it a valid idea to seek sponsorship from large/ global companies to increase revenue within the club, Perhaps something like Microsoft or Google. Even facebook.
Tony it would be excellent to find any new revenue stream whether it be from the blue chip companies mentioned above or large well known companies closer to home. Have you any thoughts about approaching such options? Thanks for your comment

Re: social media policy: Is it beyond the club's remit to set a policy over individuals who hold office in the club to given an undertaking when in position to not engage in social media or not?
I find it hard to believe it is beyond your control as it currently stands?
NB: This post doesn't have to be for public view, (given the fact our detractors love to read anything perceived as "in-fighting"). It is a suggestion made in the spirit of protecting the club and not a personal attack on any individual currently associated with the Shamrocks.

this is a valid enough point and one that the committee have entered into a discussion on putting some ideas down with the plan to setup a code of practice regards social media. Thanks for your thoughts/suggestion Fergal
